Tyler James Dickson

Tyler James Dickson, age 42, of Yucaipa, California passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021. Tyler was born July 5, 1979 in Upland, California and moved to Northern California in 1982 where he was raised in Sonoma Valley. He spent his teen years in Cool and Grass Valley, returning to Sonoma Valley in the late1990s, early 2000 at which time he did construction, ran a live bait business and was a deckhand on boats out of Bodega, Sausalito and San Diego.

Tyler's life long passion was fishing and being out on the water. In 2006-2007, he attended the Maritime Academy in Newport Beach, California obtaining his 100 Tons Master and US Merchant Marine Officers license.

On May 28th, 2007, Tyler was scheduled to Second Captain a ship out of San Diego, he never made it.

On May 27th, 2007, Tyler was trapped in a severe auto accident, rolling off a 600 foot mountain in Northern California. Thus began a very long, painful chapter in his life. Those who truly knew him, understood. He persevered where others would have quit.

Tyler was a Son, a Brother, an Uncle and a Grandson.

He was a good friend to those he called friend.

Always had a wave or hello for neighbors.

He will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.
