Abe, 93, passed away peacefully December 22, 2012, in Moreno Valley, CA, due to complications from pneumonia. He was born February 12, 1919, in Yuma where he resided until early 2011.
He was preceded in death by his sister Irene and brother's Daniel and Joseph. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Adeline, son Jaime (Coralie), grandson Jaime Jr. (Andrea), granddaughter Kellie Blocker (John), three great grandchildren, sisters, Esther Woodland, Sarah Sosa (Arthur), brothers, Charles, Alex (Norma), Abelardo (Laliene), sisters-in-law Mary and Emma Gordoa and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He played professional Fast Pitch Softball before entering the Army in 1941 and served as a Bush Master through WWII. He later retired as a Fire Captain for MCAS.
Services will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Saturday January 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
