

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Adam Michael Medel at the age of 52. Adam resided in Benson, Arizona, where he was employed at Safeway. His friendly demeanor and engaging conversations endeared him to many, and he was known for his ever-present smile.
Born and raised in Yuma, Arizona, Adam is preceded in death by his father, Rene Medel, and his beloved grandparents, Manuel Y. Medel, Clementina Medel, Jay McCoy, and Faye McCoy.
Adam is survived by his mother, Betty Medel of Yuma; his sister, Lisa Medel of San Diego; and his nephews, Seth and Samuel Couball, also of San Diego. He was father to Israel Medel of Parker, Arizona, and a Tata to four granddaughters residing in Parker.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Adam had a passion for music, often found singing or humming tunes spanning genres from Bob Marley to country.Adam also had a passion for cooking , he was a great cook . Cooking humming and eating all with a smile. His love for skateboarding, BMX, and baseball marked his youth, while his unwavering support for the LA Dodgers and Dallas Cowboys defined his adult fandom.
Throughout his later years , Adam dedicated himself to helping others, particularly those facing challenges related to mental health and substance abuse. He was committed to sharing his own experiences, providing resources, and offering a compassionate ear, even during times when he faced his own struggles. Adam's kind heart and warm smile left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his absence will be keenly felt.
Let us honor Adam’s life with our presence, sharing stories, laughter, and tears as we say , we will see you again!

A memorial service, including a eulogy and recitation of the Holy Rosary, will be held on Friday, January 16 th from 5 pm - 8 pm rosary from 7 -8
