

Alice grew up in Baltimore, Maryland where she met and married the love of her life, Henry “Chris” Johnson, Sr. in 1961. They were happily married for 20 years. She and her young family moved to Tennessee in 1966 where Alice was an active member of Eastern Star and worked in the local school system. She moved to Yuma, Arizona in June of 2000 to be closer to her family. She retired as the Shay Oil Store Manager in Yuma, Arizona. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, word search books, crossword puzzles, volunteering in the community, and attending her church.
Alice is survived by her sister Evelyn Bonda; Blairsville, Pa., her three children, daughter Patricia Viola (Roger) Williamsburg, Kentucky, daughter Deborah Elizabeth, Yuma, Arizona, and son Henry Chris Jr. (Destiny), Yuma, Arizona. Alice, aka “Nannie” as she was so fondly called, will be missed by her eleven grandchildren: Jason, Tyler, Bradley, Garrett, Chris, Catie, Matthew, Nathan, Angelique, Mya and Isaiah; her five great-grandchildren Logan, Morgan, Easton, Ellie, Bella; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Henry “Chris” Johnson Sr., her parents Florence and Ernest Trimper, her siblings; brothers Lewellyn Trimper, Marion Trimper, Ernest Trimper Jr., Frank Trimper and Albert Trimper and her sisters; Vivian Trimper, Florence Trimper and Marie Trimper.
A private funeral service will be held at Johnson Mortuary and Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S. 1st. Avenue, Yuma, Arizona 85364 and will be live streamed on social media. Alice’s final resting place will be alongside her late husband Henry “Chris” Johnson Sr. at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Anderson County, Tennessee on a later date. The family will be greeting friends and relatives during that time.
