Alma Angelina Martinez

Alma A. Martinez, 59, passed away of follicular lymphoma on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Mesa, AZ. She was born October 16, 1954 in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico. Alma attended school in Mexico and earned her High School Diploma. She was a retired Food Service Supervisor for Tempe Union High School District. She was an active Catholic. Alma was a beautiful, wonderful, caring woman, and everyone she met was a friend. She was full of life and loved to travel.

Alma is survived by her husband of 22 years, John L. Martinez of Yuma, AZ; mother, Carmen Merino Camargo of San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico; sisters, Norma (Art) Rodriguez of Gilbert, AZ, Armandina (Richard) Lepe of Chandler, AZ, Evelyn (Jorge) Esquere and Liliana Camargo both of San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico; brother, Cecilio (Martha) Camargo of San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her father, Evaristo Camargo Sanchez.

Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Avenue, Yuma, AZ. Cremation will take place, no viewing.
