Anthony "Tony" George Bottone was born September 25, 1943 to Patricia and Anthony George Bottone in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
He worked at the Yuma Proving Grounds for over 25 years and owned and operated Arizona Ornamental Iron Company in the early 1980's.
Tony was most recently employed at Arizona Western College as the Associate Dean of Science, Mathematics and Agriculture. He was planning to return to the classroom this fall as a full-time math teacher. He was also a part time member of Feline Friends of the Humane Society of Yuma.
Tony enjoyed working around the house and was a master in woodworking. He enjoyed working on and driving his 1972 Pantera. He was an animal lover and his biggest joy was his four dogs. He was in the process of making friends with a feral cat that started hanging out around the house.
Tony is survived by his wife of 44 years, Salvacion and daughter, Nisa Bottone-Sutton and son-in-law Ray Sutton. He had many friends and family in Pennsylvania.
Tony was a kind, gentle man who was very understanding, open minded and never passed judgment. He never had a mean word to say and he was always positive toward life. He will be greatly missed.
The funeral services will be held at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 South 1st Avenue, on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at 9:30 am.
