Arthur Franklin Beasley found peace on December 21st at Beehive Homes in Yuma, AZ. He was born December 19, 1938 in Foosland, Illinois. Art was preceded in death by both his parents, Claude and Mary Harriet Beasley and his older sister, Claudette Beasley-Kirkland. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Morris-Beasley, and his five children, Mark Beasley, Terri Beasley-Johnsey, Harold Busboom, Mary Beasley-Wegner and Renee Beasley-Ebel. Art has Ten grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren.
Arthur would say, “To know that you have led a full life is to serve your country, have a son, plant a tree, and build a house with your own hands”. He was always a man of his word. After serving in the United States Army, he became the manager of the local grocery store as he built that house, the barn and the ranch on Beasley Road in Flagstaff, AZ. In 1986 he sold his beloved property to move to Yuma and dedicated himself to taking care of his elderly mother and worked as a Salesman and a Construction Designer for home improvement until he retired. Art even managed to find true love at age Sixty-three. He spent his last days doing what he did best, piddling alone in his magnificent garden and orchard. May your green thumb grow on ‘with no place to go and all day to get there!
Services are open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, December 30, at 11:00 A.M. at the LDS church on 16th St. More information may be obtained by visiting www.johnsonmortuary.com and click on Arthur Beasley.
