He dutifully served his country in the United States Army. He was retired from the Bureau Of Reclamation and worked for the last 15 years for the Yuma County Library District. Art loved his family, golf, sports, and a good joke. He will be greatly missed. A favorite quote of his was "Money is no object!"
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Stella Gill Mesa, his son Arthur, daughters Eva Darlene Soto, Elsa (Frank) Romero, and Vanessa (Oscar) Galvan. His brother Joe Mesa, twin sister Maria Angulo, sisters Elena Martinez, Luisa Knighton, Rosa Rodriguez, and Antonia Mesa. 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Manuel Mesa and sister Lupe Holguin.
Services will be on Friday, November 23rd at Immaculate Conception Church. A viewing will be at 9 AM, Rosary at 10 AM, and mass at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Desert Lawn.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Thomas Fernandez, Adam Rodriguez, Hootie Romero, Frankie Soto, Christopher and Ebin Stanley.
