

Audrey Lee Evans, 85, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013. She was born January 21, 1928 in Boley, Oklahoma and was a homemaker. She moved to Yuma with her family in 1934. Audrey's love of her family and her kind heart were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She made the best blackberry pie ever. Most importantly, she lived her life as a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and neighbor.
Audrey is survived by her daughters, Althea Evans and Maurine (Harold) Mathews; sons, Maurice Jr. (Marilyn) Evans and Duane (Mona) Evans; grandchildren, Dietrich (Julie) Evans, Devon Evans, Tasha (Zeke) Moreno, Natalie (Phillip) Vance, Andre Evans, Morgan Evans, Whitney Evan, Alexis Evans, Madison Mathews, and Mischa Mathews; sister, Zenobia Kelly; sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, William and Malinda; her husband of 46 years, Maurice Sr.; daughter, Darlene; sisters, Christina Summers and Oneita Cunningham; brothers, Cornelius Summers and Wallace Summers.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Chapel, 795 W 28th St, Yuma. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, 1415 S 1st Ave, Yuma. Interment will follow services at Yuma Pioneer Cemetery.
