Barbara Tevis passed away Friday, December 9, 2016. She was born in Yuma and graduated from Yuma Union High School in 1947. She lived and worked in Yuma until 1959, then moved with her family to San Diego where they lived for 49 years. She worked in banking and real estate until she retired in her late 40's. With her husband Tim, they traveled around the US and Canada for next 20 years enjoying life. They returned to live in Yuma in 2008.
Barbara enjoyed playing bridge with her life-long friends at least twice a week until she passed away.
She is survived by her children, Louie (Diana) of Yuma, Susie (Bob) of Yuma and Ken (Becky) of Oregon. She leaves four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
According to her wishes, she had a private cremation. There will be a grave side ceremony for family and friends on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at 10am.
