

Buddy Rose, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away this past Tuesday, September 30, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. His death came 5 years to the day of the passing of his beautiful wife Donna, to whom he was married for 60 years.
Buddy was the second of 4 children and lived in Gila Bend, Arizona until the family moved to Yuma in 1950. He attended and graduated from Yuma High School in 1959.
Buddy fell in love with horses and roping at a young age. As he began to compete and excel, it was clear this was his passion, and he went on to win an impressive number of buckles and trophy saddles. Throughout all his years, he never wavered in his passion for roping.
He was employed by the Yuma Mesa Irrigation and Drainage District for many years and followed in his father's footsteps by venturing into the wind machine business. Buddy also opened his own business making custom horse trailers through Rose's Welding and went into the farming business.
Buddy was preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Hortense, brother, Roger Rose, and his beloved wife, Donna.
He is survived by his sons, Barry (Susan), Brad (Billie) and daughter, Denise Wolf (Roy), and sisters, June Aivazian (Mike) and Julene Garcia (Mitchell). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Casey (Brandon), Lisa (Ted), Cameron, Steven, Kelsey (Alan), Kayla and 5 great grandchildren: Baylor, Frankie, Josey, Colter and Blaise. He will be deeply missed by so many who loved him.
Graveside services will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Friday, October 10th, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Celebration of life to follow at the Sheriff's Posse Arena.
