Donald John Hammond Jr.

Donald John Hammond Jr., 62, of Wellton, passed away on April 22, 2026 surrounded by his children and their mother after a long battle with cancer. Born on November 5th, 1963 in Youngstown, Ohio to Betty June Hammond and Donald John Hammond Sr. He was a man defined by his strength, courage and love for his family.

Donald was known for loving NASCAR, music, boating and being at the river. He spent over 25 years working as a carpenter in both Ohio and Yuma, Arizona and brought ideas to life with his hands. Most of all, he was a dedicated father who always put his children first.

He is survived by his life partner Vicki Sue Hammond; his children Nathan John Hammond and Daniella Nicole Hammond, Nicholas John Hammond, Hannah Sue Flores and Israel Alexander Flores; his grandchildren Danica Irene Hammond, Zayden Alexander Flores, Kingston John Flores and Kaleb Andrew Flores; and siblings Mark Hammond, Linda Bianchi and Tom Bianchi, Marla Guthrie, Russel Hammond and Tracey Hall. He was proceeded in death by Donald Hammond Sr., Betty Hammond, and Gregory Hammond.
