Maris was known for his wonderful sense of humor and kindness. He enjoyed sailing, running marathons and golfing.
Maris is survived by his wife, Patricia of 50 years; daughter, Barbara A. (Bob) Frizol; son, Maris A. (Heather) Grasis; brother, Andy A. (Patsy) Grasis; sister-in-law, Joyce Grasis; sisters, Elza and Sarma Grasis; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Janis A. Grasis; mother, Elizabete Grasis; brother, John Grasis.
A private gathering will take place at a later date in San Diego, CA.
