Eloise Wise

Eloise Wise (nee Higuera), 79, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012, peacefully, after a decades'-long struggle with Muscular Dystrophy. Born in Yuma to Nacho and Mary Higuera, and one of nine children, Eloise married Odis Wise in May 27, 1951 in Yuma. Together they had three children, Debi Cooper, Jorina Garetto, and Jeff Wise. Living at various times in San Diego and Yuma, Eloise was always a loving mother and hard worker, known for her great tamales, kind heart, and patience. A kind and caring grandmother to four: Rebecca Seibel, Amanda Brooks, Robert Schroeder and Devin Smith, and great grandmother to Kyle and Nicholas Johnston, Eloise always loved being surrounded by her family, no matter how much of a pain we were.

Eloise is also survived by her 8 brother and sisters, Mary Ann Heald, Ida Valdez, Margo McNamana, Pauline Murphy, Hank Higuera, John Higuera, Paul Higuera and Pat Higuera. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Memorial Service will be on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, 1415 S. First Avenue, Yuma, Arizona at 10:00 A.M. Private cremation will be handled by Johnson Mortuary and Nicheside of the cremated remains will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Honor III Mausoleum at a later date.
