Estela reveled her youth in Jalisco, Mexico. As the eldest of 11 children, she took her role seriously and did her best to be a great example. As a young lady she was mild mannered, proper, and could be found dressed in the latest fashions. Estela married the love of her life Alvaro, in 1968 and worked tirelessly to pursue and achieve their American dream.
Although most would say their mother was the best, none could surpass Estela. Estela and her husband were committed to teaching their children moral values and their beautiful Catholic faith. Without a doubt, Estela was an extraordinary cook who did not need to bother herself with the needless frivolity of measuring ingredients. In addition, Estela loved to garden, thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing, and savored a good laugh. Needless to say, Estela was a phenomenal grandmother. As each grandchild was born her life grew brighter. Estela loved to spoil her grandkids; she enjoyed cooking their favorite meals and showering them with the things they loved. She listened, watched, & learned the intricacies that made each of them special.
Estela is predeceased by her loving parents Manuel and Natalia Loera, and her adoring husband of 52 years, Alvaro Corona.
Estela is survived by her 6 devoted children, Alvaro (Cindy), Sonia (Dale), Erica (Joseph), Liliana, Mayra (Timothy), Oscar (Andrea); her adoring grandchildren, Jasmine, Kristal, Mia, Ariana, Elijah, Victoria, Kylee, Dylan, Conner, Colton, Charlie, Beau, Esme. Estela is also survived by her loving siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be December 19th from 5-8 pm with Rosary beginning at 7 pm at Johnson Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be December 20th at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by burial at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
As a family we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to those who have sent flowers, called, sent texts, prayed, & all those who have kept our family close in thought.
