

Fay E. Matus former resident of Yuma and Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin, at age 59 passed away, on July 17, 2011 in El Centro, California. She was born August 14, 1951 in Bakersfield, California.
Fay retired as a dairy farmer. She was a former member of the Lions Club of El Centro, California. She attended Yuma High School and Arizona Western College in Yuma.
Fay is survived by her partner in life, Michael Merrick; daughter, Andrea E. Barker; brothers, Raymond Reel, Sam Reel, Charles Reel and Rusty Reel; sisters, Vera Oros and Frances Czeto; 2 grandchildren, Gitana Barker and Elena Diaz.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Helen Reel; brother, Jackie Reel; and sisters, Effie Kristol and Patty Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S 1st Ave in Yuma, Arizona. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 9:00a.m at Johnson Mortuary with Reverend Paul Killingsworth of First Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment will follow in Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Michael Merrick, Victor Diaz, Richard Martinez, Harold J. Telford, Martin Zendejas, Thomas Martinez, Darwin Weindenbach and Cindy Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Reel, Sam Reel, Alfonso Hernandez, Norman Telford, Charles Reel, Rusty Reel, Tony Limas and Mark Limas.
