Florence Ostrander, 99, of Yuma, passed away at home November 22, 2023. Florence was born February 8, 1924 in Nassau, MN to parents John and Marie Houghton. They later moved to Watertown, SD where she met her husband Robert M. Ostrander. On Christmas Eve of 1959 the family moved and arrived in Yuma, AZ.
Florence was a homemaker and later worked for Hospice of Yuma for 17 years.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert M., daughter Barbara, son Robert A. and sister Alice B. Krull.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Strawn of Camp Hill, PA, grandson Kelley Weikel (Heather) of Parkville, MD, great-granddaughter Kinsley and great-grandson Carter.
A special thank you to Hospice of Yuma for their special care. Thank you to Dr. Shea, Emy, Norma, Laura, Alma, Veronica and Irma. They were all angels and took such good care of her.
A graveside service for Florence will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S. First Avenue, Yuma, Arizona 85364. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Yuma.
