Frances Mary Garcia Martinez

Frances Mary Martinez, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughter, sons, sisters, family and friends on Saturday, September 13, 2014. She was born March 15, 1926, in Yuma. Raised in Yuma, she was the oldest sibling of Aurora and Adolfo "Fito" Garcia.

Frances graduated in 1945. She was a homemaker and led a beautiful life of faith, happiness, and good humor. She was the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren

Frances is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances "Babe" Martinez, sons Joseph "Joey" Martinez (Phyllis) and Richard "Ricky" Martinez (Julie); sisters Amelia Tesso and Pearl Gill; brother Ray Garcia; grandchildren Joseph, Krystal, David, R.J., Miriah, Jane, Maggie and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents Aurora Solomon Garcia and Adolfo "Fito" Garcia, Sisters Aurora "Tiny" Santini, Nellie Zermeno and Norma Garcia.

Visitation will be held at Johnson's Mortuary on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. A Church service will be held in her honor at St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Evaro, Jimmy Evaro, Chris Tesso, Christina Evaro, Diana Rodriguez, Ray Garcia, Bernice Limon, Clyde Gill, Joey Martinez, Ricky Martinez, RJ. Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers: Charles Santini, Michelle Santini, Mike Tesso, Louie Limon.

Arrangements under the direction of Johnson Mortuary & Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Yuma, AZ.
