Jean T. Dodd, 93, began her eternal rest on December 6, 2012. She was born on December 1, 1919 in Laramie, Wyoming where she grew up on a ranch. She moved to Yuma in 1955 where she remained until her death.
Children were her passion beginning with her own: Mike (Judy) Dodd of Tucson, AZ, Kathleen (Randy) Moorehead of Albuquerque, NM, and Chuck (Cathy) Dodd of Yuma, AZ. She spent many hours helping raise her seven grandchildren (Casey, Molly, Reilly, Tess, Britni, Ryan, and Michael). She has one great-grandchild, Troy. She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. "Jimmy" Dodd in 1985, and daughter, Peggy Dodd, who died as an infant.
Jean was a teacher in District One for many years spending most of her time as a first grade teacher at Roosevelt School. She was active in Delta Kappa Gamma and enjoyed sports.
Jean's family feels blessed to have been able to enjoy her for so many years. They would like to thank those who loved and helped care for her.
