Jean’s family moved from Ohio to Yuma in 1950 and she graduated from Yuma High School in 1954.
She was married to James C. Veretto for 50+ years.
Jean spent many happy years square-dancing but her passion in life was bowling.
Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Derrick, parents Willis and Lois Spencer, siblings, Jim Spencer and Geneva Stewart, husband, James C. Veretto and nephew, Russell Spencer.
She is survived by her brother, Walter Spencer, his spouse, Bonnie, niece, Brenda Badilla, all of Yuma, AZ, son, Charles Veretto, spouse, Lynda, of Imperial, CA and daughter, Denise Davis, spouse, Rod, of Denton, Texas, four, grandchildren and four, great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will take place, Friday, May 1st, 2026, 10:00am, Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 1st Avenue, Yuma, Arizona 85364
