Jesse Ray Hancock, born October 4, 1931 in El Paso, TX to Jesse and Beulah Hancock, died on September 22, 2016 at his home in Dome Valley-Wellton, AZ. Jesse "Ray" graduated from Thatcher High School in Thatcher, AZ. He has been farming in Dome Valley since 1953. Ray was on the Wellton Mohawk Irrigation District Board for 30 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Sammie Jo, as well as his five children: Scott Hancock (Linda), Susan Irwin (Allen), Debra Holbrook (John), Mark Hancock (Susan), and Jane Nobbs (Jeffrey), Grandchildren: Todd Hancock, Ryan Hancock, Rhett Hancock, Mickey Irwin, Brian Irwin, Samantha Auza, Kassandra Norris, Jacob Hancock, Kyle Hancock, Meagan Ennis, Hailey Hancock, Tiana Nobbs, Alyssa Connell, Austin Nobbs (Deceased), and Spencer Nobbs, and 30 great grandchildren. He had so many other family members and friends that he dearly loved and appreciated.
A special thanks from the family to all the loving caregivers who showed so much kindness to him.
Services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church of Wellton on Tuesday, October 4th at 10:00 am
