Jesus "Jesse" Perez, 84, of Yuma, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026. Born on June 3, 1942, in Jalisco, Mexico, Jesus lived a full and meaningful life that touched countless people along the way.
Jesus built his career in agriculture, where he spent many years driving field trucks before earning a well-deserved promotion to field supervisor, managing company production. He was a dedicated worker and an even more dedicated mentor. Throughout his years in Salinas, California, Jesus helped and guided many farm workers on the path toward homeownership, offering advice and encouragement to anyone who needed it. His impact reached far beyond the fields he managed.
One of Jesus's greatest joys was bringing his son Servando to work with him, starting when Servando was just seven years old and continuing through his teen years. Those shared days in the fields forged a bond that would last a lifetime. Jesus was also an avid boxing fan and enjoyed collecting and dealing in firearms.
Jesus and his first wife, Teresa, who passed away in 2003, shared a beautiful, happy, and fruitful life together. They raised three children: Jesus Jr., Ruby, and Servando. Jesus later found love again with Sara De Perez, and together they enjoyed traveling to Mexico and building a wonderful life.
Jesus was preceded in death by his first wife, Teresa Perez; his son, Jesus Jr. Perez; and his daughter, Ruby Perez. He is survived by his wife, Sara De Perez; his son, Servando Zagal Perez; and several beloved family members, including Leticia Zagal, Joseph Zagal, Marissa Zagal, Bianca Hernandez, Raymond Zagal, and Crystal Zagal.
As the patriarch of his family, Jesus leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and unwavering love. May he find eternal peace and rest in God's grace.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 24th, beginning at 2:00 p.m., and church services will take place on Saturday, July 25th, at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission in Yuma, Arizona.
We love you, Dad, we will miss you every day of our lives.
