Judith Elizabeth Vargas

Judith Elizabeth Vargas (Maiden name Ambler) age 63, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 3:43 pm at Palm View Rehabilitation Center in Yuma, Arizona after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

She was the beloved wife of Rene Vargas. Judith was born in Christchurch, New Zealand on February 10, 1954. She was the daughter of late father and mother, Ian and Barbara Ambler.

Judith was an amazingly caring person and loved being a “Granny” to her granddaughters. She loved to go camping with her husband and experience new things. She also enjoyed gardening, playing games, and simply spending time with her friends and family.

Besides her husband, Rene, Judith leaves behind her two brothers, Peter and Matthew Ambler and her daughter, Kari Ann Nelson and son-in-law, Chad Nelson. Judith also leaves behind her beloved niece, Kate Ambler, her cherished granddaughters, Lucille and Kaitlyn Nelson, Rene’s sister, brothers, daughters and grandchildren as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

At Judith’s request, she asked to be cremated and have her ashes spread in the Colorado River. There will not be a funeral. However, a donation can be made in her honor to ASPCA.ORG or ZOO.SANDIEGOZOO.ORG.
