Julian Samuel Coyote

Julian is a member of the Cocopah Indian Tribe. He is also a member of the Cocopah Nazarene Church where he was active in NYI activities and other youth activities.

Julian attended Tierra Del Sol and Somerton Middle School where he graduated in 2005; he was the recipient of the Cocopah Student Award. He also attended Kofa High School and graduated in 2009. Upon graduating he worked at Cocopah Wildriver family entertainment center from 2009-2015 where he received his 3 year pin and ring for 5 years of service. He also worked at the Cocopah Rio Colorado and Cocopah R.V. and Resort golf courses during 2016-2017.

He was a developing artisit and musician with an appreciation for the flute and guitar. Most of all he was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He had a big heart and gentle soul. He left a lot of good memories on everyone he met during his life.

During his life, he had the opportunity to walk the beaches of Maui, eat at the top of the Space Needle, visit the Statue of Liberty, walk the campus of Harvard University and view his great uncle's name on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC. He loved to play game, board games, video and pool. Julian belonged to Desert Darters a Dart league in Yuma Arizona. He enjoyed the competition of the game.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandmother Elise (Spencer) Soto; paternal grandparents Gordon Sr. and Mary (Huck) Coyote, brothers; Cody White, Jason Coyote, and Elton Sundust, cousin Mark Coyote, aunt; Eleanor Keyoite, uncles; Clarence Keyoite, Vern Soto, Terry Coyote; great uncle Peter Soto (former Cocopah Tribal Chairman); great great uncle Joe Palmer (Original 29 Navajo Code-Talkers).

Funeral Services will be officiated by pastors Ray and June Stillings with Cocopah Tribal burial to follow at the West Cocopah Reservation.
