Mary Ann Shaw, 84, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026 in Yuma Arizona. Mary Ann was born on October 5, 1941 in Hope, Arkansas to John and Fannie Bell Hubbard. She later made Yuma her home where she built her life and started her family.
She graduated from Yuma High School in 1960 and later went on to marry Jimmie Charles Shaw. Mary Ann worked for the Yuma County Assessor’s Office for many years before she retired in 2006 and turned to volunteering on her time off. She volunteered as a Candy Striper for Yuma Regional Medical Center and was actively involved with the Floyd G. Jefferson Post 56 American Legion. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society Elite Ladies, where she enjoyed fellowship and friendship. Mary was also a devoted member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a treasurer for many years.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Fannie Bell Hubbard; her beloved husband Jimmie Charles Shaw; and her daughter Tina Marie Shaw. She is survived by her son, Terry Shaw; her granddaughters Alyssa and Alexandra Shaw; and her great-grandchildren, Ezra and Ariyah.
Mary Ann will be remembered for her kind heart and unwavering faith. Her legacy of love, service, and family will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
