Mary Ann spent her early years in Hope, Arkansas, where she attended Hope High School. Her career was marked by her dedication to public service, having retired from the Yuma, Arizona County Assessor's Office.
In her personal life, Mary Ann was married to Jimmy C. Shaw, and together they raised two children, Tina Shaw and Terry E. Shaw. She was a good mother and always kept her family together.
Mary Ann had a passion for cake decorating, quilting, sewing, and enjoyed spending time at the casino. Her community involvement was evident as she attended Second Baptist Church in Yuma, Arizona.
