Mary was born in Lakeview, Michigan to Gordon and Grace Beach on November 28, 1939. She traveled the world with her family, as her father was a Lt. Col. in the U.S. Airforce. In 1957 at the age of 16, she met Claude Waller at Warner Robbins High School, in Thomaston, Georgia. After graduation, her family moved to Yuma, AZ and Claude followed. They were married on October 13, 1957 and made their home and raised their family in Yuma. They were married 58 years at the time of Claude’s passing in June 2016.
Mary was a registered nurse and worked with Dr. Lester Olin for 25 years. She then went on to be the school nurse for the Yuma Union High School District, at Vista High School for 10 years.
Mary fought and kicked Cancer’s ass in 2014 and then fought Parkinson’s Disease until the time of her death.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband Claude, and 2 children, Linda Suzanne and William Gordon Waller. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Ray Face, her son and daughter-in-law Andy and Monica Waller, 4 grandchildren, Michael Face, Jonathan Face, Kiley Face Nakasawa (Keanu), Elizabeth Waller, 2 great-grandchildren, Eleanor Face, Oliver Face, her sisters, Betty Reed and Barbara Rogers and cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends in the Yuma community.
