Melinda Dianne Edwards

Melinda was born May 31, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia and was the third child born to W.L. “Buck” Yancey, Sr. and Mary Gail Martin Yancey. She was a 1975 graduate of Kofa High School. Melinda met Mike Edwards when they both were employed by Northrup King, and the couple married on September 2, 1977.

She was preceded in death by her father, W.L. “Buck” Yancey, Sr. and her brother, W.L. “Bill” Yancey, Jr.

Melinda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mike Edwards; children Michael Dean Edwards, Lyndsie (Edwards) Ray, and Haylie Edwards; grandchildren Noah Lafata, Weston and Olivia Edwards; and Clayton, Americus, Sophia, and Boomer Ray. She is also survived by her mother, Gail Yancey of Yuma, and sisters Mary Hayworth (J.D.) of Scottsdale, and Debra Feller (Reggie) of Yuma.

Friends are invited to Melinda’s Celebration of Life at 10am on Saturday, September 28 at Champion Church, 3625 S Avenue 5 E in Yuma.
