

She married Charles E. Eaton (U.S. Army) in Tokyo, Japan on November 9th 1956. They later moved to Brooklyn, NY where she became a U. S. citizen on August 14, 1962. In 1968 they moved to Yuma, Az when Charles transferred to Yuma Proving Grounds.
Mitzie worked for many years as a bookkeeper at YPG as well as Marine Corp Air Station Yuma. She was also a volunteer at Yuma Regional Medical Center for the past 27 years with a total of 10,794 volunteer hours. A gentle and caring lady, she was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by sisters Tokiko Hori of Osaka, Japan, Kazuko Kawai of Hiroshima, Japan, Sumiko Hori of Osaka , Japan and brothers Kiyoshi Hori of Osaka, Japan and Mitsugu Hori of Yokohama, Japan as well nieces Miyuki Webster of Washington State and Yuko Inoue of Hiroshima Japan.
Mitzie was proceeded in death by her parents Yokichi and Kou Hori and husband Charles E. Eaton.
A private cremation was held and her cremains will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii with those of her husband.
A celebration of Life will be held at Yuma Regional Medical Center at the Administrative Building off of the Ave. A and Parkview Loop on Friday, June 12th at 2pm.
