Penelope "Penny" Kaleimomi Spencer, 78, went home to our heavenly Father on October 12, 2015.
Born August 27, 1937 in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was raised in Hauula by her grandparents, Esther Kalino and Mr. & Mrs. William I. Kanakanui. She attended Hauula Elementary School and is a graduate of Kamehameha School for Girls.
She resided in Oceanside, California for 37 years and leaves behind her long time companion, Wayne Hopkins; her children, Diane Spencer, Liane (Bob) Martinez, George R "Kalani" Spencer Jr. and Johnette (Shane) Carpenter; Grandchildren, Anthony Spencer, Travis and Charlie Perine, Sandra and Sarah Martinez, Kristopher (Jayme) Spencer and Leilah Carpenter; Great Grandchildren, Caelynn and Christopher Young, Rosemarie Perine, Cambria and Kaiana Spencer.
Services will be Saturday, October 17th at 11am at Johnson Mortuary. Gathering will follow the burial at the home of Liane and Bob Martinez.
Donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society of Yuma, Hospice of Yuma or Amberley's Place.
