Ralph C. “Wappy” Gloria, 84, passed away November 19, 2021, in Yuma, AZ. Wappy was born in 1937, in Yuma, Arizona. He spent two years in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne. He spent 20 years as a warehouse man for Mohawk Wholesale. He then spent the next 20 years working at Burns & Roe, retiring in 2003. Over the years Wappy was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 56, and Men’s Bowling League.
Wappy’s hobbies included bowling, golfing, playing pool, playing softball, and watching all his grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities.
Wappy is survived by his wife Camila “Barbara” Gloria. His daughters Renee (Robert) Haworth and Lori (Chris) Williams. His grandchildren Julian Higuera Jr., Jocelyn (Kody) Boyd, Adam Williams, Noah Williams, Megan Haworth, Matthew Haworth, and Mia Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Margaret Gloria, his brothers Dan, Gaspar and Jesse, and his sister Barbara.
Pallbearers will be Julian Higuera Jr., Adam Williams, Noah Williams, Matthew Haworth, Chris Williams, Robert Haworth, and Kody Boyd.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Mayo Clinic – Help us Cure Parkinson’s in lieu of flowers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29, 2021, at Johnson Mortuary. Visitation is at 10:00 am with Services at 11:00 am & Graveside and Military Honors at 12:00 pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
