Shane Eric Brooks was born on February 20, 1971. He went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Shane was a fun, loving and kind man. He was a friend to all, he never met a stranger. He truly loved life and Nebraska football. He enjoyed golf and the many friends that he met while working in the golf industry here in Yuma.
Shane is survived by his loving parents, David and Annie Brooks; his sister, Becky Vilums (Mark) from La Quinta, CA; nephew, Luke Vilums; niece, Lydia Vilums; his big brother, Jason Van Brunt of Michigan.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Avenue, Yuma.
