Stanley Newcomb passed away unexpectedly in Flagstaff, Arizona on July 1st, 2017. He lived in Somerton and was born in Benson, Arizona. Stanley had spent most of his life in Yuma, where he graduated from Kofa High School and worked in the produce industry as a refrigeration technician for more than 45 years.
During his free time, Stanley could be found outdoors: camping, fishing and hunting. Most of all, Stanley loved his dogs.
He is survived by his children: Caryn, Larry and Cathy, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as his siblings Terry, Doug, David and Laura.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Mary Catherine, his father Albert Newcomb and his sister Rita Soto. A memorial service will take place for him on Monday July 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary Chapel at 1415 S 1st Ave in Yuma with a reception to follow at the American Legion at 1490 W 3rd Street in Yuma.
