

Ted was born in Helena, Montana December 30, 1941, and lived in Montana until he joined the Navy in 1960, where he pursued an education in telecommunications.
Ted married in 1964 and had three children. His family moved to Alaska in 1971 where Ted became an avid outdoorsman and bush pilot. Throughout his life he shared his passions of hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He continued his career in telecommunications, working for many years at Anchorage Telephone Utility in Alaska and his business, Circle T Cable Splicing, in the Pacific Northwest.
After he retired, Ted enjoyed spending the summers in Montana and winters in Arizona with his brother and sister-in-law and many great friends. He loved western movies and will be missed and remembered most for his ability to make people laugh, his great sense of humor and also for being an exceptional hunter.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta and Ted and sister Betty Huff. He is, survived by his children, Ted Olson Jr. (Danette) of Auburn, WA, Laura Osborne (Eric), of Athol, ID, Katherine Minder of Wasilla, AK; his sister, Peggy Smet of Spokane, WA; brother, Richard Olson (Linda), of Helena, MT, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his beloved dog Jeanie, many nieces and nephews and several very close friends.
Ted’s life will be celebrated next summer in Montana.
