Our thoughts and prayers go out the the entire Winn family. Buddy was one of the nicest men we ever met. He was such a good friend to our dad (George "Bud" Snyder). Growing up our dad would take us to Winn's store and Buddy would be so nice to us, even taught us how to run the cash register and let us help out in the store while he & our dad would visit with the rest of the gang. Even after it had been several years since we had seen him, when my sister & I went into the bate shop Buddy remembered immediately who we were. We hope the memories you have will give you comfort at this difficult time. Buddy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Bud would always stop at Winn's store afterwork & visit with Buddy and even go out to the store on weekends to visit. The two of them are now together in heaven having good times im sure. Buddy will be greatly missed.

Hello Roger, Mary and all the rest. Winn's Gila Center was the best place I have in my memories for College students and when I worked Bruce Church fields. I had a great time. Roger I didn't meet until Wild Bill introduced me to him Billy style. Mary I met and talked to about the major family Winn's, Keegan's, Dallabeta's, Brown's and the Steen's. Okay, I will include Billy Fox too. I have nothing but good memories with the Winn family. Deeply sorry for your loss.

Dear Winn Family:
Cousin Buddy was "one of a kind"....His Mother Fern Shook Winn, was my father's Cousin....the Shook Clan all traveled out west from Texas in the early 1920's.  My brothers, Ron and Bill grew up with Buddy, Gertie, Uncle Jack, and all of the Winn Family.  Buddy always had a smile on this face, and did not hesitate to tell you a story or joke that, in most cases was totally inappropriate, but you always wanted to hear more.  We will all miss our "favorite cousin Buddy", and our hearts and prayers are with his children and family.

BUDDY WAS A GREAT PERSON.  HE WOULD PRETTY MUCH DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.  HE WAS A VERY GOOD FRIEND TO MY MOTHER, KATHY PRUITT AND ME AND WE SHARED MANY DRINKS TOGETHER!  HOPE MOM AND BUDDY ARE HAVING ONE NOW IN HEAVEN!  LOVE YOU BOTH!

My prayers go out to the Winn family, I just heard about Buddy's passing and instantly remembered what a great guy he was and all of the good times a lot of us had at Winn's Gila Store back in the 70's, and when he worked at Mitch's and the tackle shop at the storage lockers. Many times in my youth in the 70's I survived off of the store and paid my tab each Friday....those ham & hot sandwiches, the fun times hanging out at the store with the fellas, playing pool in the back, and the crazy fun trips to Charger games, wow what great memories! A book should be written about the funny things that took place at the store and other events where Buddy was involved. Godspeed to a good friend who I'll never forget.

As a kid growing up in Yuma, you had to know what a ham and hot was and where to get it. I will never forget the Winns, OB and all the rest from those days. RIP Buddy.

Dear Winn Family, You all have our sympathy in the loss of Buddy.  He was a great guy and he and Gertie were very special friends.  Roger came to our home in Ohio with Fr. Wanted to say how sorry we are to hear of Buddy's passing.  I have great memories of the Winn household on 10th avenue and the fun we had out at the Store bugging your Dad while he was working to build us one of those famous sandwiches and adding the hot's to them! Roger and Beth I am so sorry to read of your dad's passing. Though I had never met your family, the stories you and my brother "Wild Bill" would share made me feel like I knew them all my life. May you and your  family feel the  peace of God.

I will pass this message on to my mom (Barbara Lund) and brother (Keith Worth). The Winn's were good friends at some very fun times in my parents' lives. I send my personal condolences to everyone. Bless you all.

Grandpa Buddy, we're gonna miss the visits & stories. We believe that if we could have just one more trivia night with you we could probably take those other teams at Sam's & if not, well we'd sure have fun trying.
