Wilane Lee Chavez passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Yuma. She was born January 10, 1945 in San Diego, CA to William and Phyllis Emerson.
Wilane retired from the Yuma County Assessor's Office. She enjoyed cooking and working in her garden. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Wilane is survived by her husband of 49 years Angel Chavez; three children, Madonna, Richard, and Victoria; four grandchildren, Manuel, Richard, Matthew, and Kristen; and many extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 5pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm. Mass will be held at St. Francis Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10am.
