William "Bill" Gordon Haywood, 81, aka Flapjack, left behind his pain forever and went HOME to rejoice with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 28, 2013.
Bill was a man who loved God, his family and serving the Lord through his clowning ministry. Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired from White Consolidated in Pittsburgh, PA.
Survived by his wife Betty of 56 years; his children Kathie (Marty) Schotten of Yuma AZ, Keith (Sherry) Haywood of Pensacola, FL, Ken (Joyce) Haywood of Sand Lake, MI, Kelly (Mike) Steinbock of Saugus, CA; his brother Lee Haywood of Wallkill, NY; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Leora Haywood; his sisters Alice Juratovic and Carol Rudiak, and his brothers Harry and Hud Haywood.
The family is planning two memorial services, the first to be held at Faith Baptist Church, 1798 S Arizona Ave. in Yuma Arizona on February 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM and the second in Michigan this summer, the location and date to be determined.
