She was born on March 1, 1924 in Franklin, the daughter of Bruce and Pearl (Woodard) McNeilly.
Norma worked at the Unatego Central School as a cafeteria cook and manager from 1956 to 1986.
An avid motor home traveler, she enjoyed showing horses, golfing, bowling, crafting, reading, and following the Yankees.
Norma is survived by her children, Keith and Patricia McKown of Binghamton, and Linda (McKown) and Ted Cole of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Kristen (Cole) and Mike Morrison of Sunrise, Florida; Judson “Casey” and Heidi Cole of Phoenix, AZ, Jeremy and Julie McKown of Baskin Ridge, NJ, Jennie (McKown) and Ernie Dotson of Fallston, MD, Lacielyn (McKown) and Mathew Halloran of Callicoon Ctr, Keith and Kristie McKown of Binghamton, and Staceylee (McKown) and Stanley Padhayski of Binghamton; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister in law, Sandra (McKown) Lown of Williston, FL.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John C. “Bud” McKown; her siblings, Elizabeth (McNeilly) Tyler, and Robert McNeilly; and brothers in law, Donald C. “Doc” McKown, and Robert McNeilly.
A graveside service will take place at a later date in Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
