Mary “Bunny” Louise Mitchell, of Gilbert, AZ, formerly of Glens Falls, NY, passed away, February 15, 2021 at the age of 75. Bunny was born February 22, 1945 in Glens Falls, NY and grew up on Glen Lake NY graduating from Lake George High School in 1963. She married her high school sweetheart Michael Mitchell and together had three girls. Originally from Lake George, Mike’s career moved them to a few towns in MA, eventually landing at their beloved home of Gilbert AZ. Bunny was smart, organized, and started her career in banking and moved on to several bookkeeping jobs. She loved to travel, and with her young family she spent many weekends camping on Cape Cod and exploring State Parks around New England. Later in life, she and Mike enjoyed travelling the country for months at a time in their motorhome. Her favorites were Alaska, Port Aransas, Yosemite and Bryce Canyon. Bunny had a love for motorsports, and particularly enjoyed dirt bikes & driving her sand rail at the dunes. Let it be known- she drove her own machines and was an excellent driver who completely understood the mechanics of her toys. An animal lover, the dogs and horses were as much a part of her family as her own children. Rarely did you see her without a Chihuahua at her side, and she volunteered many years with AZ Chihuahua Rescue. Bunny loved her family, Friday night dinner with friends, ice cream, and the beauty of nature you can only see from a great road trip. Bunny passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her husband and children after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Mitchell, Gilbert, AZ; her children, Michelle (Dave) Endries, Manitowoc, WI, Lori (Mike) Cieslinski, Howell, MI- their child/granddaughter Madeline Cieslinski and Emily Mitchell (Jay Dobbins), Battle Creek, MI; and her siblings, Charles “Nipper” Yagar and special friend Ellie Keating, West Bridgewater, MA and Diane Yagar, Queensbury, NY.
