Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Antone and Ruth (Maciel) Ventura, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.
Mrs. Reposa had worked as a supervisor at the former Building 19 warehouse in New Bedford for several years.
Rose was such a loving and caring person who truly cherished being in the company of family and friends. She adored her grandkids and they loved her with all their hearts. She was talented at arts and crafts, crocheting and creating beautiful embroidered calendars. She also loved listening to music.
Her family includes four children, Charles B. Reposa, Jr., Kevin A. Reposa, Heidi L. Jorge and Christine Reposa and her fiancé John Mello all of New Bedford; her sisters, Ruth Medeiros and husband Peter of New Bedford, Rita McDuffie and husband Scott of Fairhaven, Sandra Westgate of New Bedford and June Ventura of New Bedford; her brother, Ricardo Ventura and wife Shirley of Worcester; her grandchildren, Brendin, Mariah, Alexandryia, Vivianne, Cameron, Marissa, Erick, Cayden, John, Jayce and Maelynn; three great grandchildren, Na'miyah, Aiyva and Zaiden; her father-in-law, Benjamin Reposa and his wife Edna Dryden; her mother-in-law, Judith Reposa; many nieces and nephews; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by her siblings, Antone, Alvin, Michael and Edward Ventura, Emily LeBlanc and Kathleen Costa.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
