Calva “Casey” Jean Farrow (Marr), 73, left this world for a much better fate on April 5, 2021. Born on January 10, 1948 in Virginia, the beautiful daughter of Calvin and Alice Marr, she was never shy about speaking her mind.
Casey spent most of her adult life making life better for her children, grandchildren, and beloved fur babies. She loved sending notes, cards, and gifts, almost singlehandedly keeping the USPS in business in recent years. While not fleet of foot, her keystrokes and computer purchases were lightning quick.
Casey served the people of Lake County by working with Adult Probation Services, and watching many a baseball game on the weekends. Everyone knew she wanted nothing more than to see her son play professional baseball, but apparently he didn’t get the message.
Casey cherished her family, mostly her puppies, put up with her husband, and loved sitting in the sun, talking with friends, some of which she’ll now be reunited with in Heaven.
Casey was preceded in death by her mother Alice, father Calvin, in laws, Doris and Clyde, and grandson, Michael. She leaves behind her husband, Gil, stepdaughters Sharon and Jenifer (Bart), son David (Cayce), sister Leslie (Tree), brother Calvin, grandchildren Chase, Delaney, Boston, Brooklyn, and Joy, as well as several great grandchildren.
There will be a private service for Casey at a later date. Always a champion for those that needed a voice, Casey requested that any donations be made to the Autism Speaks organization at https://www.autismspeaks.org/?form=donate
