Troy Wayne Gray, 71, of Little Rock passed away on April 28, 2021 at his residence. Wayne was born on August 17, 1949 in Little Rock, the son of Troy and Geneva Gray. He married his wife Karen (Dodson) Gray on November 23, 1979, and they shared 42 years of marriage. He worked for many years as an offset print technician. His last employment prior to retirement was with the Arkansas Department of Corrections as Supervisor of the Printing Department at Wrightsville.
As a youth he enjoyed Cub Scouts, Little League and catching crawdads and cooking them in the front yard. He also enjoyed singing in the Junior Choir where he received a special award as top tenor.
As a young adult he enjoyed ping pong, bowling and scuba diving. From an early age he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father. They enjoyed this time together until his father's passing.
He was very active with his church families, as well as running the sound board and serving on the volunteer vehicle ministry repairing and maintaining care for the older members of Crystal Hill Baptist Church where he was an active member for over 24 years. He was currently attending Parkway Place Baptist Church.
Wayne leaves behind to cherish his legacy his wife Karen Gray of Little Rock, his mother, Geneva Gray of Little Rock and his sister Jan (Gray) Davis and her husband Nathan of Tempe, Arizona; as well as aunts, uncles, countless cousins, friends and former co-workers who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father Troy Gray.
Visitation will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 N. Hwy 5, Alexander, on Monday, May 3, 2021 beginning at 11:00 am until funeral services begin at Noon with Steve Parker officiating. Burial will follow committal services in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Wayne's family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, 2 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
