Shirley Mae Williams Rayborn Cook, 86, passed away at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge on June 9th, surrounded by her grandchildren after a short illness. She was born on June 1, 1935, in Mandeville, LA, to the late Henry G and Genivia Bigner Williams. Shirley loved making quilts, cleaning, and sitting with the elderly through the years, but most of all, she loved crafting with her grandchildren and baking cakes. She loved Christmas time when she would get to decorate everything and have the whole family over to open gifts. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry G and Genivia Bigner Williams; children, Cheryl, Wayne, and Billy; sisters, Peggy DeMole and Glendine Harper; brother, Charles Williams; and step-granddaughter, Lisa Hebert. Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Henry Kelly Rayborn; grandchildren, Torie, Shirley, Ann, and Billie Jo Rayborn, Tommy Bush, Joey Hebert, Henry Rayborn, Jr., and Kellie Rayborn; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her constant companion, her beloved dog, Misty. Shirley will be laid to rest at Greenoaks Memorial Park on June 15, 2021.
