Georgia Doloris Horne, age 86. Born May 1, 1935 in Butler, Missouri to loving parents, Albert and Pearl Horne (nee Elliott). The eldest of three, then a few years later came a sister Bonnie who became her best friend throughout their lives. A surprise brother came along about 8 years later named William “Bill”, they treated him as their baby.
Georgia’s work life was a hard life, living in poverty picking cotton in her early years then housekeeping and laundry until she retired.
During this, she got the best gift of her life, her son Johnnie and she doted over him the rest of her life. Even though she did not like her picture taken, she took pictures of him when she could afford too.
Loving mother-in-law to Mary Horne; She is a proud grandmother of 2, grandson William, better known as Billy and granddaughter Meghan Horne. Georgia is preceded in death by her siblings, Bonnie Paul and William Horne.
Georgia’s greatest joy was her son and she enjoyed spending her last 30+ years sharing a home with Johnnie and Mary.
Sadly, Georgia passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2021.
Georgia was first and foremost a Doting mother, delightful daughter, sweet sister, no better mother-in-law, loving grandmother and dear friend. She was an all-around special and sweet lady.
