Strong, Barbara Ann of Ann Arbor, Michigan died on September 12, 2021 a few days short of her birthday. Barbara was born on September 15, 1949 in Ann Arbor the daughter of the late James and the late Johanna Strong. Born a twin, sadly her sister, Brenda Sue died in the early minutes of their birth and Barbara mourned the death of her twin throughout her life. Barbara had a passion and love for animals, she was a past member of the Rainbow Girls, and she loved to travel and especially loved strolling through the concession stands and tailgate parties outside the Michigan Football Stadium before the games, enjoying the carnival like atmosphere; many of the vendors knew her by name. Barbara retired after 40 years of service at The University of Michigan Hospital. Surviving are her sister; Deborah Jean Hardesty, brother; Daryl (Amy) Strong, nieces and nephews; Andrew, Daniel, Jeffry, Phillip, Kelli and Stephen. She is also survived and missed by her beloved cat Lucy. Family and friends will gather at Zion Lutheran Church (1501 W Liberty St, Ann Arbor, MI) on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 P.M. Barbara will be laid to rest on Monday at Arborcrest Memorial Park. Donations may be offered to Huron Valley Humane Society or to the Alzheimer Association.
