Nina, as she was affectionately called, was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served many years as an usher, Sunday School teacher and deaconess.
Nina was the proud mother of two sons, D’Angelo and Samuel.
She met the love of her life, George Anderson, in 2002, and they were joined in holy matrimony in 2008.
Despite many health challenges, Nina loved life. She enjoyed attending church functions, family gatherings, dancing and SHOPPING!
Nina was the glue in the Wallace family. She knew everyone’s birthday, and always acknowledged them with a text or phone call. She kept in touch regularly with everybody. If someone wanted to know anything family related, they went to Nina.
Nina loved kids, and kids loved her. She was the aunt that was everyone’s favorite. Her love of kids lead her to work in the field of daycare. She worked at St. Malachi Center, Minor Creations Creative Learning Center, and at the time of her death she was employed at My First Place Learning Center.
Nina was always an active member of any community she became apart of. She would volunteer with outreach programs, summer camps, VBS, after school programs, community kitchens, and even the PTO at Sam’s high school.
Nina was a quiet gentle soul. In recent years Nina blossomed, stepping out of the background into the foreground, embracing and enjoying life.
Nina was preceded in death by her father, Deacon Jimmy Wallace, and brother Craig L. Wallace. She leaves to cherish her memory husband George Anderson, sons D’Angelo and Samuel Register, mother Gennie E. Wallace, brother Jim L. Wallace, sister Lisa M. Wallace, cousin/brother Walter L. Wallace, auntie/mom Patricia Bell, Godmother Audrey Thomas, God sister Ayana Thomas, God sister Michelle Thomas, God sister Tava Barnes-Knowles, nephews Terrell II (Antwaniece), Craig II, DeJante, nieces Tawauna, Leslie and LaRae. sister-in-love Elaine Rushton (Michael), sister-in-love Cheryl Ezelle, brother-in-love Emmanuel Flagg, best friend Cathy Graham and a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins, family and friends.
