Scott Michael Braswell was born in Charlotte, NC on October 24, 1961 to Bill and Kay Braswell. The family moved to Long Beach, MS in 1963. Scott grew up there and attended First United Methodist Church of Long Beach, He graduated from Hi School and went to Jeff Davis Jr College and earned an associate’s degree. Then he went to the University of Southern Mississippi and earned a BA degree. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta and went to work for the government and put in 20 years. He was active in his church and taught Sunday School. He is a member of the Gulf Coat Jr College Alumnae and he is a life member of the USM Alumnae Association. He is a member of KUMC and a member of Elton Adams Sunday School Class “Happy Voyagers”. He was an avid reader, history buff, and learned Bible student.
He was preceeded by his Grandparents, Forrest and Sara Bradley, an Aunt, Beverly Ann Bradley, an infant sister, his daddy, Billy Bane Braswell, and Grandparents, George and Eva Braswell.
Scott survived by his Mother, Sara Kay Braswell and Brother, Brad Braswell, Mary Braswell, nephews Carson Braswell and Forrest Braswell, and nieces Serina Williams, Deanna Williams, and Jessica O’Neill.
He will be flown to MS and buried in the family plot in Long Beach, MS.
