Born October 22nd, 1923 in Jasper, Alabama to Chester and Velma Cobb. Doyle graduated from Walker County High School in 1942 and immediately enlisted in the Army Air Corp. Doyle served with the 8th Air Force stationed in England during World War II. After the war ended, Doyle graduated for Auburn University with a degree in Architecture. He founded his own architecture firm in 1960. Doyle retired from the firm he founded in 1993. Survived by his wife of 68 years Fern Crittenden Cobb, along with sons Steve, Mike, Lee, and daughter Kimberly Ann Cobb, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Monday, July 15th at 11:00 am with visitation an hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
