Bonnie was born December 15, 1933 in Denver, CO to George W. and Lois B. Stillman. She married Robert A. Yule in 1952 and in her words, "she had three beautiful children," Gary, Karen, and Sharon. They moved to Amarillo TX in 1966. She was a homemaker while the kids were growing up, and then worked for the Potter County DA's Office for 18 years with her last position being the DA's personal secretary and office manager. She made many long-lasting friends from the office that, to this day, came and had lunch with her once a month.
While Bonnie adored any quality time with her family and friends, she especially loved the mountains, her church, Mickey Mouse, playing poker, drinking beer and wine, and chocolate, a lot of CHOCOLATE. She spent a considerable time enjoying quizzical cross-word puzzles and employing her vocabulary knowledge in a good game of Scrabble. She had a wall that presented her grand collection of crosses. Bonnie was a lady who enjoyed colorful shoes and was known in her last years for her colorful decorated wheelchair. Many would attest to Bonnie's kindness and devotion to her friends, family, and dogs. She had several little dogs through the years that she loved dearly.
She is survived by her children: Gary and wife Connie, Karen and husband Royce Mason, and Sharon and husband Danne Whipple. She has the pleasure of 5 grandchildren: Brian and wife Monica Yule, Jason and wife Erica Yule, Kevin and wife Janet Yule, Brandon Backus, and Blake and wife Mallorie Backus. Bonnie has the honor of 4 great grandchildren.
We want to thank the staff of Harrington Assisted Living, Ware Nursing Home, and the BSA hospice staff. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Great Plains Western Church, BSA Hospice Care of the Southwest, or Hope Choice.
