John was happily married for 56 years to his Wife Wendy. He was a Supervisor of Airport Operations when he retired in 2001 after 33 years with United Airlines.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed several hobbies and interests such as hunting, target and skeet shooting, traveling and photography, polishing and driving his Trans Ams, and collecting Swarovski crystals; mostly the animal collections. He was always interested in everything his nieces and nephews were learning and doing.
John is survived by his siblings; Beverly A. (Mel) Lang of Murrysville, PA, and Terri M. (Chuck) Galba of Imperial, PA.
John is preceded in death by his Parents; Bob and Geneva Aivalotis in June and October 1997, respectively.
Everyone will miss his hearty hugs and great laugh! Family gatherings are being planned for the summer in Pittsburgh and Chicago to celebrate his life.
