Born June 10th, 1939 in Dallas, TX, she was the daughter of George and Lillian Barringer. She was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in 1958 where she was a member of the Scottish Brigade Drill Team. She was a member of Community of Faith Church. Pat is survived by her son, Roland (Pam) of Magnolia, her daughter, Roanna (Leon) of Katy, four grandchildren, Morgan (Danny), Zachary, Kyle (Kelly), Tyler and four great-grandchildren, Rylie, Carter, Graham and Weslyn, her brother Buddy (Sunny) and his children Tamara and Troy and families. Patricia also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends.
She loved her time at the bay living with Mary Ann and hitting every garage sale and thrift store they could find. She enjoyed spending time with her family, swimming and making some of her famous desserts. One of her favorite activities was to watch her grandchildren play sports, all sports. From Drill teams, Cheerleading, Softball, Ice Hockey, Football, Basketball, and she loved Baseball. All four of her grandchildren played either softball or baseball. She could remember plays, scores, players and stats. Her saying was” If they hit the ball it’s a hit, period”.
Pat will be fondly remembered by many as “Momo”. Momo showed, by example, how to care for others. There were many times she took care of all four grandchildren by herself. Momo leaned on her past experiences of running a daycare, which she needed handling that group. Momo’s compassion and willingness to put others before herself will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation at Pasadena Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00pm, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00pm.
